Michael
has been selected to represent South Africa at the World Cheerleading Championships in Orlando, Florida USA. April 2015.
South Africa has competed in the World championships twice before, placing 16th and 10th the first and second times going. The team selected this year is even stronger, and as such we hope to improve our performance this year.
Michael has been doing cheerleading for the past four years and in that time, have been quite successful. He was selected for the provincial team in 2014 and achieved national colours in the same year. The club team, I was a member with, always placed in the top 3 for Gauteng and managed a third place last year at nationals. My greatest national placing was 2nd in partner stunts, a smaller, more elite section in which you compete more as an individual.
We are all extremely proud of his achievements and the hard work required to reach this level.
